Hi Paolo,

Your timing is impeccable! This is a great image - is the water really that color, or is it enhanced a bit?

Laura

Hi John,

You did a great job with this series. I love the shallow DOF, the colors and the curvilinear shapes.

Congrats on your SC award!

Hi Gustavo,

Very nice architectural shot - you have indeed captured great shadows here. I really enjoy viewing images of ancient ruins. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comment on my beach image. I have reposted without the rock in the foreground, if you want to have a look. http://www.usefilm.com/image/1338874.html

Hi Alicia,

There is something so sad about blossoms covered in snow! Very pretty image here.

Hi Christina,

This is really a charming shot. The baby has such a joyous expression, as babies so often do. Viewing this photo made me feel happy too!

Hi JP,

I really like this super-wide shot. How did you manage to capture so much color in such low light? Was there any post-camera work involved?

Hi John,

Very nice job on the composition and post-camera work. The color and sharness of the figures really stands out. It's almost hard to tell that it is an architectural shot. Overall, this is a very interesting image to view.

I love the lines and textures created by the stones, and the overall composition is very interesting.

Where was this taken?

Have you changed the color on the rose? I have never seen that variety before!

Hello Gervias,

I had worried about the rock being a distraction, and since a few other people felt the same way, I have taken it out.

Here is the updated photo, I hope you like it. I have reposted this photo as a new image in my portfolio as well.

Thank you for your advice!

Laura

Hi AJ,

I agree with Doyle - crop out the beak and leave the eye as the focal point. Wonderful color and sharpness, this is a great image.

Hi Andrew,

I really like the golden light and earthy tones in this photo. The shadows around the edges add to the effect as well. I like the overall rustic look of this image.

Hi Robert,

I love the blue-green filter you've applied to this photo. Was the image monochrome prior to adding the filter?

Hi Saeed,

This is a really great shot of a white peacock. I just took one myself last week, but unfortunately, he wasn't trying to impress any of the peahens. He was actually just settling down to take an afternoon nap, so my photos of him are not nearly as good as this. Congrats on this beautiful image.

Bill -

Great post-camera work here - it looks like an abstract painting. Great saturated colors and excellent exposure.

Hi Jeff,

Lovely sentimental shot. I really like the rich reds and golds. I have seen those 3-D photo viewers before, but I can't quite recall what the proper name is..

Rich,

Simone has submitted an image of a passion flower today as well. I had never seen one before, and here on Usefilm, I have seen two within five minutes! Great macro - all the details of the bee are clearly visible. Did you use an extension ring or teleconverter? I don't think I can get quite as much magnification from my macro lens. Just curious!

Hi Allen,

What a gorgeous image! Great color and simplicity in this composition. Was this lit with sunlight? If so, how did you manage the black dissolve in the background?

Hi Ian,

This image has such amazing depth of field! How did you get such a wide shot using a 45mm lens? I realize that you shoot film vs. digital, but even with my Minolta X700, my 50mm lens doesn't even come close to this! Anyway, this is a great shot and the exposure is just perfect!

Hi Sascha,

Great job on freezing this moment! I guess the water was cold, by the expression on the boy's face? Very nice shot.

Hello,

Wonderful pattern and color here. This is a great macro with a very intersting crop and sharp detail. I am partial to macros myself, but I hace none that are this good!
